The bride and groom select a china pattern to register for their wedding
They receive a wonderful compliment of gifts. The honeymoon is taken, the thank-yous are sent. Then it's time to settle into reality.
The priorities change. The last expense on their minds is completing their china set. First comes the house, then the family.
The years pass by, the kids get married and all of a sudden they don't have enough place settings for their growing family. They didn't count on the in-laws nor so many grandchildren.
They go into a china shop to buy additional place settings. This is when they hear the dreaded:
"Your pattern has been discontinued."
"Why didn't someone tell me?"
